Well it is just over 24 weeks to the Virgin London Marathon and if you are new to the "challenge" then you are not alone! Many of you may be first time runners to the event or even experienced runners who finally gave in to the temptation!
As an experienced level three endurance coach and three time London marathon runner i can understand the challenge you have set yourself and with this in mind i thought i could offer some advice on training, schedules or a shoulder to cry on!
At the moment if you are new to running i expect you are at the walk jog stage (we have all been there) so with this in mind make sure you are well hydrated to start with and are wearing some good appropriate foot wear and clothing, strangely enough this will help with your running as its less for you to have to worry about.
Tip of the week; make finishing your goal not a time if you are a first time marathoner.
Good running!
Lofty.
