You know you've had a tough track session when you feel really quite sick at the end of it! Starting to get fit now, ran 6 x 600m with 200m walk recovery in between in an average of 1.39.96 which was pleasing considering how windy it was down the back straight.

Managed a reasonable weeks training, approx 30 miles last week with my first race for 7 months on Saturday. Started off with a 400m hurdles in 61.2 seconds. Eased off after the final hurdle as I knew I wasn't going to catch anyone. Pleased with my return to steeplechase, 6.11 for 2km again with a strong wind down the home straight. Got a bit carried away on the first lap and suffered for it later on, but a good run.

County champs chase next Wednesday, rumours are that there will be a strong line-up, so I will have to think carefully about how to approach the race.
